Saw a couple little bands of elk today. In new areas for us so we are getting started already. Kinda steep country but looks very huntable. There are roads at the bottom. Hope all is very good with y'all!! L8R Carl

now comes the big decision. Do we give up the old and go to new or stick to what we know? I always get wraped up in deciding what to do. You can't hunt a new area if ya don't know it inside out, but by learning it you sacrafice valuable scouting of old areas. So what to do?

Id love to go scouting but there is just to much dang snow. Cant usually get in there until late spring early summer. Oh well that just keeps everyone else out too lol

thats why I like the coast range never much snow and we can go see the elk all year round. and they don't migrate.

I like hunting up Weyerhaueser when its open, but Im really growing to like the solitude of hunting the wilderness area up river.

If the rest of the country looks anything like Watson Falls I dont want any part of it. It sure looks cool but man it is some steep stuff in parts.

If not let me know when you are going to register and I will meet ya there and we can shoot and talk elk. Archerynut will be shooting with me also. He is my best friend and hunting partner.. Let me know what your plans are.
