It's 72 degrees here in bend today. A few more days close to this and the rats should really start gettin active. Have been seeing a few, might have to take a drive next weekend. At the very least time to start packin the .22 in the work truck. Just in case I happen by a productive spot during the course of the work day. LOL.

that is what i did when i worked on a few of the ranches in central oregon. always had a .22 at all times with me.

Went out on Saturday 3/17 for a few hours in the morning. It was cold in the morning but around 9-9:30 a few started poppin up. Not alot but enough that it was steady shooting with the .223. Had to be home by 1Pm so I think we probably missed the best part of the day by not being there in the afternoon. Was enough shooting to verify that the .223 is really fun and deadly on the little rats out to 250 yds. I know it would kill farther out but that was the max distance we had to work with on this property. Hoping to get back at it next weekend.
