Next memorable hog hunt would be with Brian we went on a paid hunt in Okeechobee FL with www.outwestfarms.com we arrived at his place around 7 am it was 29 degrees and foggy but we loaded up on the buggy and headed for the woods we were riding around for about a hour when his red bones started baying so we headed in there direction when we got there the hog gave the dog's the slip so on we went about 30 min later we see 3 hogs on the edge on the ditch so Lee the owner told us to hop off the buggy the hogs were going to follow the ditch line so Brian wanted to take a sow I told him I would take a boar If there was one so they continued in our direction it was 2 sows and 1 boar around the 120 lb range both the boar and 1 sow was black the sow was in the lead then they dropped off in the ditch so we changed spots and they came out of the ditch I took the one in the lead which turned out to be the sow OOPS then the boar turned and looked right at us and charged us I let Brian take 2 shoots at him, and he was still getting closer so I fired and dropped him about 10 feet from us Brian was pumped up at this time about 20 ft behind me LOL cant say I blame him either. That was his first hog and a nice story to go with it also but we both bagged a hog that morning when we cleaned the boar it was hit all 3 times Brian was using 00 buck I was using 1 oz slugs there was buck shot and one hole in the boar's head from my slug he had about 1" cutters but very sharp and then we cleaned my sow and she was pregnant but we couldn't tell when she was going down the ditch line she had 5 baby's that were pretty small but all in all a very adrenaline packed hunt
