The third best hunt would have to be when I went back to www.outwestfarms.com with a friend that was on leave from the military he was on his first hog hunt also we got on the buggy around 9 am and off we went and immediately Lee's redbone started chasing hog's but the first few were to small around 80 lb range we wanted something bigger so he broke the dogs off the hogs, off they were after more so we chased down the dogs and see them running a nice hog down the fence line when we see a group of about 15 move out from some thick brush we noticed there was a monster in the group so my buddy was using a Remington 30-06 sighted in at 100 yds he took a shoot at the big one only to see a smaller one drop in front of the big one so they all broke and ran the big one was running towards the fence so Lee cut him off and I took a shot with my 12 Ga and the slug hit him right in the lungs at about 25 yds then I hear 5 quick shots only to see my buddy with his 9mm in his hands LOL I thought that was awfully quick shoots for a bolt action 30--06 he said he didn't want the hog to get across the fence cant say I blame him when the shooting stopped we went to go pick up his hog and we found out he shot one in the eye from about 125 yds away it was standing in front of the monster his hog was around the 150 lb mark we turned around and went to go pick up my hog we knew he was big but when we got off the buggy 2 of us tried to load him up but it took all of us and we still had a hard time Lee estimated mine to be around 400 Lb Bar hog but to this day I have NOT got one bigger but I am sure trying
I know the pics are not that good but its the only one that turned out on my Buddy's disposable cam Now I have a digital cam with me on all hunts
