Just wanted to start by saying that this will be a great sight. I have pursued elk for 19 years and have harvested 19 elk. Any questions on roosevelts feel free to ask. I would be happy to share my knowledge with all .

Thank you for the complement. And congrats on the 19 elk's harvested. I'm sure you will be asked many questions about the Roosevelt's. I got my first elk this year over in Eastern Oregon. Hope to get many more.

Is this for the general season cascade hunt? If it is I know some spots in the indigo and dixon units. i have some friendsthat hunt the mckenzie so i will get some info from them. do you guys have a gps? or i could give ya some names of areas to look . you will need a map of the diamond lake and lemolo lake are. I will pm the spots . I do not want give you a false sense of hope this is a very hard elk hunt. There is a LOT of people that hunt this hunt. Some of the spots I will give you are spots that other people know about but the elk are there. I personally do not hunt this hunt. The first three days of the hunt you can call bulls in as they are still in the rut. You can rake them in as well. But this only works if you are close to a herd and they do not know you are there. The farther you can get into a canyon or away from the roads the better off you will be. I will pm some areas and some lat and long to areas that do not have a name.
