went to look for elk tonight and my hunting spot is now a clearcut/thin. Now I have to wait for two years for it to be prime again. Just wish they wouldn't log all my spots seems the last few years the foresters have been fallowing me around . maybe i can pass him off on someone else so i can hunt a spot for more than a year. Iknow logging has its place but i think it is due time for them to log somone else's spot not mine. I Know I will start pretending to hunt the brushy stuff so they will cut it down. #242er#

Yes, it was a heart breaker to drive down the road to our hunting grounds and camping spot only to see a yarder and the watchmans trailer. The log deck was where we camped last year and woke up to four bulls walking right through our camp. Wapitiwill jumped up and asked me if I heard something and I thought he was dreaming but he ran out the tent and there they were. He grabbed his bow and shot once but it was farther away than he thought and the bulls ran off. It sure was wierd seeing the territory that we once walked through hunting. It was kinda steep stuff!!!! But I guess we will need to broaden our horizons and scout else where. Those elk are still there somewhere!@#?

I know how it is loosing your hunting spot. I had the same thing happen to me during bear season. Log deck right where I camp. It hurts but theres pleanty of land out there.
