Nice elk wap!!!! Is that considered a big 1? I live in SW Pa and only havve seen whitetails so I have no clue about elk!

Yes this is a very respectable elk. ;D. I will post the whole story in the contest but a little info won't hurt. Spot and stalk and a little patients and it all worked out great!!!!!!!!

I would of loved to but I had to pack it a mile and couldn't afford the extra weight. . So i will put it on a plack in the livivng room maybe I get a cape in the next few years.

I just have to put my two cents in on this one!!!! I will say the pack was very physically challenging, but we were in the company of two really good guys and one partically made it really fun with his jokes!!! Kept us awake!!!!!

we had a great end to a long season. Bugled in two bulls but we had no shots I just called and watched . We had one bull at three yards!!!! But it was your classic western oregon brush patch. One of our guys was about ten feet from him with no shot. Gotta love it . we still have 1 elk tag to go hoping for lotsa meat this year but this hunt is not until december. Now it is time to sit back and enjoy the new memories of a great season!!!!

Will, Sounds like a heck of a good time. The adrenaline really starts to flow when you are that close. Even if you don't get a shot it is an unbeatable experience.
