Thought I'd share these pics I took today on my way home from work. The rangers have been patrolling heavily due to this herd. Beautiful bull in the center.

This is one of about 5 herds that are in this area. I think this is a different herd than the one I saw all summer. That one had a lot more cows and you never saw a bull anywhere. Here's the shot I took in July.

These pictures were taken in Scoggins Valley near Stimson's lumber in Gaston, Or. They tend to graze behind the slag pond and use the area around Stimson's as their calving grounds. Gaston is not that far from the Trask area and can be reached from a few of the roads out here.
