WHAT IS EVERYONES OPINION ON HAVING TO TAKE A TEST TO BE LICENSED TO GO GOOSE HUNTING? WITH SO MANY SUBSPECIES THE STATE IS WORRIED ABOUT THE WRONG CANADIAN GEESE GETTING BLASTED.

You mean just in the Willamette zone, or this this a new statewide rule? I've always thought the idea that certain kinds of geese only fly west of I-5 is stupid.

This is one thing that the ODFW should really look at.

I WAS READING THE REGULATIONS AND COULD NOT FIND WHERE IT SPECIFIED IF THE TEST HAD TO BE TAKEN ONCE OR EVERY YEAR. I WILL HAVE TO FIND OUT FOR SURE. I CAN'T IMAGINE THEM DOING THAT EVERY YEAR.

I talked to ODFW about the regs and after they found some one who knew what was going on, the test only has to be taken once. not every year.

The scary part is you could probably call back and get a totally different answer. Thanks for checking. Has anyone actually taken the test?
