I read an article once that said Roosevelt's have a one week feeding circle. I watched a few different herds last year and I was shocked . They do have a feeding circle that does tend to vary in shape and size due to pressure ,but in a week they will generally be in the same area you saw them in the week before. some times exactly, and sometimes a draw away or so. So if you are scouting and see sign they will be back . If you see them one day and not the next they will generally be back in a week . Just a quick lesson on the crafty critters hopefully it will help some of ya in your quest for the mighty wapiti. I can't remember who wrote the article but whoever did had a lot of time invested and should be greatly commended it has helped me out dramatically when i can pattern their circle I find them every time I go . When you get their basic pattern down it is basically a process of elimination to find them. Hope some of ya find this useful !!

Will,
I have found this to be true as well. We own a 1200 acre ranch over in Elkton and we have about 3 herds that make the rounds all year long as long as the feed is there for them. seems like every 2 to 3 days a new herd moves in. so far this year I have counted 17 different bulls.
