I decided to bow hunt elk again this year. I am too addicted to the challenge!!! I will just buy a regular coast buck tag. For anything else I bought the pointsavers!! Boring huh???

I put in for all the units in my general area except the Ochoco's because I feel it is a waste of time as there is no game left there. I will just have to see what the State decides to give me. I did get my usual pronghorn point saver and have my general season bear tag too.

Anything would help Mike and be appreciated. I am hunting with a guy I work with and his dad. They have a house over in La Pine so we are going to stay there. I know they hunt a lot up by the upper lakes but not far off the road cause his Dad can't push much. Our goal is to get into some areas to put him on stand and run some timber and brush. They usually get forks and 3's but I am looking for a bigger buck. I have seen some pictures of yours and that is what I am wanting. Planning on scouting this weekend and hopefully I will see something that gets me excited. Thanks

Went over and saw quite a few deer this weekend. 7 bucks total and one was a big ol hog up by Lava lake bedded down with 4 does right is a camp spot where they had a fore going. Of course still in velvet but antlers were out past his ears by about 8 inches and already had some good height and width!

That's great Evs. There always seems to be alot of big bucks in that area in the spring but can't ever find any deer there during season. If you want some pointers let me know. I have been hunting that unit for several years.
