The state of Oregon is proposing a change in the bag limit for bobcat this coming year. They want to change the eastern bag limit from 7 to 5. However, the western part of the state is unlimited. Eastern Oregon bobcat are worth more than western bobcat. An eastern bobcat averages $265.00. Why the state is concerned about the money the pelt is worth is beyond me, other than trying to control economics over here. To me it is just one more instance of politicians dabbling in things they know nothing about. All the power politically in this state is in Portland and Salem so we don't stand a chance to try and salvage our rights as outdoorsmen.

Well, I filled out my trapping license renewal form today and sure enough, they changed the bobcat bag limit to 5. I feel that our game is being mismanaged to a large degree. I'ts pretty bad when you go fishing you can only catch 2 fish.
