So which deer species do you prefer to hunt more than the other and why?
For me it has to be the Mule deer. To be able to chase mule deer in sagebrush or my beloved Blue Mts. is the greatest feeling I could have. I love mule deer hunting more than any other big game animal. I cant wait for many more years to hunt them.

For me it would have to be mule deer. I get to hunt black tails every year so I get burned out on the brushy steep country. There's just something about the smell of sage at daylight that is irresistible.

I would much rather hunt mulies but end up hunting blacktail more because it can be hard to draw the tag I want.

I am just the opposite. Never been able to hunt Mulies but its lookin like this year will be my first. If things pan out and I dont draw my Powers bull tag, my week off is gonna be eastern Oregon somewhere. but then again if I do then its probably late season blacktails for me with the bow. Either way its gonna be a first.
